Phase II of the Project for More Efficient Management of the Cijevna Canyon Presented
A consultative meeting was held at the premises of the newly established LLC “Natural Monument Cijevna Canyon,” during which the project “Contribution to More Efficient Management of the Natural Monument Cijevna Canyon – Phase II” was presented.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Secretariat for Agriculture and Rural Development, the Secretariat for Urbanism, the Secretariat for Projects, as well as representatives of the Local Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Tuzi.

Project Coordinator Milica Kandić reflected on the results achieved during Phase I of the project (2022–2023), expressing satisfaction with the continuation of project activities. She particularly emphasized that the project was approved at the right moment, immediately after the Municipal Assembly of Tuzi adopted the decision to establish the LLC “Natural Monument Cijevna Canyon,” thereby creating the institutional conditions for higher-quality and more efficient management of this protected area.
During the meeting, the planned activities of Phase II of the project were presented, which will be implemented over a period of 27 months. The project team highlighted their openness to suggestions, cooperation, and the active involvement of all relevant local institutions in the implementation of project activities, with the aim of improving protection and ensuring sustainable management of the Cijevna Canyon.
The participants expressed satisfaction with the results achieved so far, emphasizing that the project represents significant value and concrete support for the protected area management authority. They also expressed their readiness for continued cooperation and active participation in the implementation of the planned activities.
