Budget:19998,00EUR
The project is implemented by EnvPro in partnership with Parks Dinarides. It focuses on the protection of the endemic plant Petrolamium crnojevicii and the conservation of valuable beech forests of the Međureč Canyon through the development of two participatory Action Plans. The project aims to improve biodiversity status and strengthen the role of local communities, institutions, and civil society in the management of natural resources, in line with the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans.
Key activities
Within this partnership, Parks Dinarides play a key role in ensuring the institutional relevance and policy visibility of the project. As a regional network that brings together protected areas and works closely with public institutions, Parks Dinarides contribute to linking local project results with national decision-making processes. Key activities include the organization of a national roundtable, through which representatives of ministries, agencies, municipalities, and the professional community are engaged in discussions on integrating project solutions—micro-reserves, NbS approaches, and OECM models—into Montenegro’s strategic and legislative frameworks.
In addition, Parks Dinarides coordinate the preparation of the policy brief and contribute to aligning project recommendations with the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP).
