The Lom rainforest is one of the three rainforests in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska. It is located on the northern slopes of Klekovača Mountain, on the ridge of Lom Mountain. It was noticed as long ago as 1905 by the Austro-Hungarians, but the reserve itself was founded in 1956. However, it did not have continuity of legal protection. By decision of the RS Government in 2013. The biological value is made up of communities of beech and fir with spruce – 82% of the area, while the rest is made up of communities of subalpine beech forest. The natural conditions favor all kinds of mammals and birds, with the fact that the fauna of the reserve has not been sufficiently explored.
