Center for Protection and Research of Birds – BirdLife Montenegro, conducted a census of the Eurasian Eagle-Owl (Bubo bubo) within the Cijevna Canyon Nature Monument for the purposes of the project implemented by Parks Dinarides. During the fieldwork, five locations were identified as potentially suitable habitats for this species. During the survey, one male Eurasian Eagle-Owl was recorded, along with other species characteristic of this area, such as the Rock Partridge, Blue Rock Thrush, and Little Owl. Parkovi Dinarida, in cooperation with Wildlife Montenegro, Malesia Adventures, and the management authority of the Spomenik prirode Kanjon Cijevne (Cijevna Canyon Nature Monument), have installed the first camera traps in this protected area as part of efforts to improve biodiversity monitoring.
