Parks Dinarides in cooperation with 15 partners from the Mediterranean has started implementation of the project: Sustainable tourism strategies to conserve and valorise the Mediterranean coastal and maritime natural heritage (INHERIT).

The main goal is to promote sustainable tourism and it is focused on the so-called “bottom-up” approach, which favors the active participation of the local community and all stakeholders in tourism on sustainable development and protection of natural and cultural heritage.

The ultimate result is the establishment and implementation of several so-called INHERITURA areas in the Mediterranean area, with special protection measures, as an introduction to the creation of a comprehensive policy for the protection and sustainable use of the Mediterranean coast.
