Announcements of the 5th meeting of the ECO KARST Project Management Board in Sarajevo

In the scope of Danube Transnational Interreg Programme – ECO KARST Project (Ecosystem services of protected karst areas – initiation for the local development), in the period from 4 – 7 March 2019, regular semiannual meeting of the Managing Board will be held. The host of this event is Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Areas from Sarajevo, which will host all project partners from 9 different countries.

The subject of the meeting will be the final steps on implementation of the project, and also the workshops will be held on the subject of a common strategy for sustainable use of ecosystems and their goods in karst areas.

Besides that, one segment will be dedicated to the workshop on “networking” or strengthening local and transnational network after completion of the project.

During that period, the participants will have a chance to visit natural protected areas managed by the Cantonal Institution such as Protected Landscape “Bijambare”, Trebević and Nature Park “Spring of Bosnia”.

In addition to the Parks Dinarides, the following institutions from our network take part in the project such as Cantonal Public Institution for Protected Areas from Sarajevo, Notranjski Regional Park from Slovenia, Public Institution Nature Park “Žumberak- Samoborsko gorje” from Croatia and Public Institution National Park Tara from Serbia.
