ECO KARST–Natura 2000 Award
ECO KARST has been selected as one of the finalists for the Natura 2000 Award 2020 edition! A high-level jury is considering the short-list and the five winners will be announced at the Award Ceremony in Brussels in October. In the meantime, a public vote for the Natura 2000 award has been launched and closes on September 15th.
Over the coming weeks, the general public will be voting for their favourite Natura 2000 Award finalist. Application that receives the most votes will win the coveted European Citizens’ Award. You can promote the application in a large number (for example, on a website/social media account). You can find promotional material at the following link: https://ec.europa.eu/environment/nature/natura2000/awards/promotional-material/index_en.htm
The applications represent the efforts by Europeans to protect and restore nature in the EU through conservation actions on the ground, by raising awareness about species and habitats and by highlighting the socio-economic benefits of the Natura 2000 network. All applications are presented on the Natura 2000 Award website and widely promoted by the European Commission. These applications were evaluated by an independent panel of experts, which selected 27 applications as finalists. The public is also invited to vote for its favourite finalist. The finalist with the most public votes wins a very special award: the European Citizens’ Award. In order to increase our chances of winning this very special prize, we would kindly ask for your help in promoting it.
