Parks Dinarides participated in the final conference “Transnational cooperation for a sustainable future of the Carpathian region”

Parks Dinarides  participated in the final conference “Transnational cooperation for the sustainable future of the Carpathian region” organized by the European Wilderness Society, through the Interreg Centralparks project, financed by the Interreg Central Europe program.

On the second day of the conference, the round table entitled “The importance of networks of protected areas in the effective management of protected areas and sustainable development based on nature in the Carpathians and beyond” brought together speakers from the following networks: Carpathian Network of Protected Areas, Alpine Network of Protected Areas, DanubeParks , Parks Dinarides and the Carpathian Wetland Initiative in order to exchange experiences, good practices, strengths and weaknesses and space for future cooperation.

This panel resulted in many ideas and we hope that this is just the beginning of a successful cooperation between networks of protected areas in Europe.
