Organised training for the Implementation of the Educational Program “School Composting”

Parks Dinarides in collaboration with the Sunce Association from Split and Skadar Lake National Park, organized a two-day training titled “Composting in Schools and Communities.” The training took place on April 1st and 2nd, 2025, at the Visitor Center of Skadar Lake National Park.

The participants of the training were teachers, educators in protected areas, and educators from non-governmental organizations.

During the training, the participants received a detailed educational program in written form, which they can also use in their future work. The program aims to raise awareness about the importance of composting, the benefits of sustainable bio-waste management, and encourage the practical implementation of composting in schools and local communities.

The program consists of seven workshops. The educational program “School Composting” will be implemented at the Niko Maraš Primary School in Zeta, a school located near Skadar Lake National Park. The program will be carried out by Dinarides Parks in collaboration with the teacher from the school.

This activity is part of the project “Developing the Educational Program ‘School Composting’,” which is financially supported by the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development, and Northern Development.
